PRIVIGLAZE is the smart glass company of LT Smart. It designs, laminates and installs switchable glass that turns from clear to frosted in a fraction of a second, so rooms keep their light and openness without blinds, curtains or solid walls.

How switchable glass works
PRIVIGLAZE uses PDLC (polymer dispersed liquid crystal) film. The film is laminated between two panes of toughened glass, or applied to existing glass as a retrofit film.
- Power off
- Liquid crystals sit at random and scatter light. The glass is frosted and private, but daylight still passes through.
- Power on
- A low-voltage current lines the crystals up and the glass turns clear in about 0.01 seconds.
- Control
- Wall switch, remote, smartphone app or voice, or integration with Crestron, Lutron and Control4 building systems.
